All renters and authorized drivers must comply with the following vehicle use restrictions. Violation of any of these terms constitutes a breach of contract and may result in immediate termination of the rental agreement, forfeiture of all fees and deposits, and full financial liability for damages, losses, or legal claims.
Permitted Use
Rental vehicles are to be used for personal, non-commercial purposes only. Acceptable uses include transportation for leisure, personal travel, and general on-road use by the renter and any additional drivers listed on the agreement.
All vehicle use must comply with applicable local, provincial/state, and federal laws. Use of the vehicle is restricted to paved public roads that are properly maintained and legal for passenger vehicle traffic.
Prohibited Use
The following uses are strictly prohibited:
Any use of the vehicle outside of these permitted purposes is considered a breach of contract and may result in immediate repossession, fees, or legal claims.
Speeding and Dangerous Driving
All vehicles must be operated responsibly and within posted speed limits. The following conduct is strictly prohibited:
Vehicles may be equipped with telematics devices that monitor speed, location, and driving behavior. Data may be reviewed in the event of an incident or suspected misuse. Dangerous driving behavior may result in penalties, insurance claim denial, or contract termination.
Geographic and Usage Limits
Vehicles must remain within the geographic area permitted in the rental agreement. Travel across restricted zones or international borders is not permitted without written authorization. Violation of geographic boundaries may result in surcharges, recovery fees, and cancellation of the rental.
Vehicles may only be used within Canada and the USA. Usage in Mexico is not permitted.
Mileage limits apply. Any excess mileage will be billed at the stated overage rate.
Care and Custody
The renter is responsible for ensuring the vehicle is secured when not in use. This includes locking the doors, removing valuables from view, and never leaving the vehicle running unattended.
Only drivers explicitly listed on the rental agreement are authorized to operate the vehicle. Allowing any unauthorized driver to use the vehicle will void all coverage and may result in full liability for damages.
Monitoring and Enforcement
The company may use GPS tracking, geofencing, and diagnostic tools to monitor vehicle use for safety and compliance. By renting the vehicle, the renter consents to this monitoring.
